Wisconsin senators make plea for reciprocity with Minnesota
Senators Bob Jauch, D-Poplar, Sheila Harsdorf, R-River Falls, Jennifer Shilling, D-La Crosse and Kathleen Vinehout, D-Alma, along with representatives of districts along the Wisconsin-Minnesota border, sent a letter to Minnesota Gov. Mark Dayton and Minnesota Department of Revenue Commissioner Myron Frans urging them to reach an agreement to reinstate the long-standing income tax reciprocity policy between the two states. The letter expresses concern that an agreement has not yet been reached despite good faith negotiations that have addressed the issues that led to elimination of the highly popular reciprocity program.
