Federal jury awards club owner $400,000 in 1st Amendment case
A musician who owns a nightclub in Hayward was awarded $400,000 Wednesday in what she says is a victory for live music and the First Amendment. In September 2007, Hayward Police raided the Pavilion because they were performing live outdoor music after 10 p.m., violating a recently passed city ordinance.By: By Mike Simonson/Wisconsin Public Radio, Superior Telegram
