Garden of opportunity
There’s a spot for everyone – and their produce – at the Broadway Gardens in Superior’s North End. For the past five years, garden boxes have been available to community members, but the resource has been underutilized. “We have had at the most up to six people rent boxes, and we have 15 boxes,” said Chris Watten, a member of the Superior Council for the Arts, which organizes the gardens. So in past years, they have used some of the extra boxes to grow food for the Center Against Sexual and Domestic Abuse (CASDA).By: Superior Telegram, Superior Telegram
