Marathon spots closing fast

The field for the 2008 Grandma’s Marathon is nearly three-fourths full. Since registration opened last week, 6,900 runners have signed up for the event’s 32nd annual running. The race was half full within the first 24 hours after online registration opened Jan. 17.
