Pipeline transport generally safe

FARGO, N.D. — Large-scale pipelines carrying things like natural gas and crude oil snake more than 7,000 miles beneath North Dakota and more than 9,000 miles across Minnesota. Wisconsin has more than 6,000 miles of pipeline.
