Film investigates family connection to Wisconsin gangsters

Filmmaker Genevieve Davis researched her paternal grandmother, an unwed mother during the 1920s who settled in Northeastern Wisconsin. The result — “Secret Life, Secret Death” — a docudrama that tells the story of a good girl who fell into a life among criminals.
