The Carlton County Historical Society welcomes Mary Favorite, Multicultural Literacy Coordinator at the White Earth Head Start Program, Saturday, November 17, for a 1 p.m. presentation about the Smithsonian Institution traveling exhibit Why Treaties Matter: Self-Government in the Dakota and Ojibwe Nations. This exhibit is a collaboration of the Minnesota Indian Affairs Council, the Minnesota Humanities Center, and the Smithsonian Institutions National Museum of the American Indian.
