STEVENS POINT, Wis. (AP) — Police used a stun gun to subdue what they say was a "very belligerent" father outside Stevens Point Area High School.
A police spokesman says the father went to the school looking for his son about 12:30 p.m. Friday and refused to sign in.
A police school liaison officer intervened. Police say the parent was escorted outside, where he continued to be agitated as other officers arrived.
Police say the father was removing his wallet to show identification when a folding knife fell out of his pocket. When the father refused commends not to pick up the knife, a Stevens Point police officer used a stun gun on him once, and he was taken into custody.
