A grieving mother is asking for the return of a sympathy card lost Tuesday.
“It means a lot to my family,” said Sherry Lamar.
Her son, Michael Robert Sislo, died Saturday. The card was handed to her younger son Aaron Sislo on Tuesday afternoon by coworkers at Jack’s Spur in South Superior. The tan card had the word “sympathy” on the front, centered in a blue strip. Inside were signatures from all of Aaron’s co-workers and $60. He left the card in the store bathroom sometime between 3 and 4 p.m., according to Spur staff.
By time he realized it was missing at 6 p.m., it was gone.
Lamar is hoping someone will return the card to the family.
“You can drop it off at the funeral home or gas station with no questions asked,” she said.
Jack’s Spur is at 5701 Tower Ave. Downs Funeral Home is at 1617 N. 19th St.
