Six players scored goals for Wisconsin-Superior in a 6-0 nonconference victory over Northland College on Tuesday at Public Schools Stadium.
Ben Royce, John Levenick, Nate Engel, Logan Klatt, Seth Aycock and Nico Ralief each scored for the Yellowjackets, while Matt Elder and Zach Harweth combined on the rare no-save shutout.
Colton Schreyer had 12 saves for Northland College (3-8).
UWS leading scorer Brian Grand also dished out three assists and Royce, Eric Loberg-Kreft and Aycock had an assist each.
The Yellowjackets outshot the Lumberjacks 41-1, including 18-0 on goal, and held an 11-1 advantage in corner kicks.
The Yellowjackets (6-4-2, 1-0-1 WIAC) are back in action at 4 p.m. Tuesday against St. John’s in Collegeville, Minn.
Miranda Garrelts scored off a Rachel Wallace corner kick in the second half to lift the UWS women into a 2-2 nonconference tie with visiting Northland College on Tuesday at the SHS soccer complex.
Superior’s Katelyn Adams scored her first goal of the season on a first-half breakaway, sandwiched between goals by Northland’s Sarah Hudson and Jolynn Dohmann.
Kalea Hatlewick made six saves for the Yellowjackets (3-8-1), including one on a breakaway with one minute remaining in regulation. Jessica Jaeckel had 11 saves for the Lumberjacks.
