LETTER: Lawmakers out of touch with reality“We are not going to give up on destroying the healthcare system for the American people,” so said Tea Party Congressman Paul Ryan on March 13.
“We are not going to give up on destroying the healthcare system for the American people,” so said Tea Party Congressman Paul Ryan on March 13.
True to his word, Ryan’s Tea Party/GOP led congress has voted 40 times to repeal “Obamacare.” The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. Have they lost all sense of reality in their zeal to destroy the healthcare system for the American people?
The Affordable Care Act (ACA) is the law of the land, and Obama is our elected president. Again, the Tea Party extremists threaten to shut down the government and default on the US debt if the ACA is not repealed.
What is the Tea Party/GOP so afraid of that they want to risk the good credit of the US?
I believe Ryan/Tea Party is afraid the American people will appreciate the ACA the same way they appreciate Social Security and Medicare.
Ryan says we (the Tea Party/GOP) do not want the American people to have a healthcare system. Ever since Social Security and Medicare have been provided for the American people, political extremists like Ryan have tried to destroy or “voucherize” them.
Whether it is minimum wage or basic healthcare, the core value of the Tea Party/GOP is for the very rich to get richer, at the expense of the commonwealth of the American people.
