Duluth: The Journey Coffee House hosts an open mic nights and Christian performers the last Friday of each month at Living Faith Church, 9302 W. Skyline Parkway. This month features live performances by Adam Ferg and an open mic night beginning at 6:30 p.m. All are welcome.
Duluth: Area residents will team up to raise funds to help fight heart disease and stroke at the American Heart Association’s Heart Walk at the baseball fields near the University of Minnesota Duluth stadium. Registration begins at 8 a.m. with opening ceremonies at 9:40 a.m. The walk kicks off at 10 a.m. Health exhibits will be available from 8-11 a.m. The Heart Walk is a non-competitive walking event. Participants can choose to walk a one or 3-mile course. Free snacks and beverages will be provided to walkers by Super One Foods. It is not too late to take part – people can form a team or just show up to the Heart Walk. There is no cost to participate but donations are encouraged.
