The March of Dimes Wisconsin Chapter and UW Health are teaming up this Thursday for a Twitter Party hosted by a nurse practitioner in the Department of Obstetrics and Gynecology at UW Health.
From 6-7:30 p.m. Thursday, Twitter users can tweet their prenatal care questions using the hashtag #MODWI.
Laura Kwitek, NP, will respond in real time. Kwitek has been a nurse practitioner for nearly five years, and before that was a labor and delivery nurse for seven years.
“Having a health baby starts even before a woman gets pregnant. Expectant mothers need to know the steps they can take before and during pregnancy to help ensure they have a healthy baby,” said Kwitek. “During this Twitter party I’ll answer questions about prenatal health and share a lot of tips that I’ve learned from working with moms and babies for nearly 12 years.”
This will be one of a series of Twitter Parties sponsored by the March of Dimes Wisconsin Chapter to celebrate the organization’s 75th year.
“March of Dimes works hard to help moms have full-term pregnancies and healthy babies,” said Jodi Legge, March of Dimes Wisconsin Chapter Director. “We’re excited to be able to partner with UW Health and so many other wonderful providers around the state to share this important information.”
