Anna Simmons of Poplar is the recipient of a $2,000 Brothers Scholarship. Anna plans to attend the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities in the fall of 2013. She is the daughter of John Simmons.
Alexandra Larson of South Range is the recipient of a $2,000 Brothers Scholarship. Alexandra plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-Superior in the fall of 2013. She is the daughter of Scott Larson. The Heritage Group Scholarship Fund is renewable for three years.
Korina Borash, 17, from Esko is a regional scholarship winner from the Kohl’s Cares Scholarship Program.
Jordan Kitch of Superior was awarded the Jill Muenich Organizational Communication Study Abroad Scholarship at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.
Wisconsin Indianhead Technical College student Tarissa Deragon is the recipient of the 2013 Melinda Boswell Scholarship, which is awarded by Home and Community Education (HCE) of Douglas County. Deragon’s major is early childhood. She is a resourceful, involved student in activities and programs on the Superior WITC campus, according to HCE.
Brooke Violet Bailey, daughter of Michael and Sandra (Mikel) Bailey earned her Doctor of Pharmacy degree from South University School of Pharmacy, Savannah, Georgia. The Doctoral Hooding and Commencement ceremonies took place June 15, 2013, at the Savannah International Trade and Convention Center. Brooke is a 2005 graduate of Superior High School and 2009 graduate of the University of Wisconsin-Superior. She is employed by Walgreen’s in the Madison West district.
Jack Kline was presented with a scholarship check for $1,000 from the Douglas County Fish and Game League. Kline was recently awarded the scholarship from the Douglas County Fish and Game League. He plans to attend the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point in the fall to study forest management and soil science. He is the son of Randy and Christina Kline of Superior.
