The recent and outrageous attempt by G-Tac to restrict public access to over 4,000 acres in the Penokee Range is another example of our elected representatives ignoring the will of the people in favor of special interests.
If you are a private woodland owner who participates in the state’s Managed Forest Law program and has played by the rules, you should be particularly upset if this becomes law. As anyone enrolled in program knows, there are very few exceptions in the law. Will we have swat teams roaming the woods to enforce it?
Please thank Sen. Bob Jauch, D-Poplar, for opposing this measure.
