In roughly 40 years of golfing, James Larson had never recorded a hole-in-one.
So when his wife, Alice, accomplished that feat two weeks ago, James admitted he was bitten envious.
“You bet I was jealous, without a doubt,” James Larson said. “She’s only been golfing for around 20 years and then she beat me to the punch.”
Alice Larson’s ace came on Aug. 10 at the Nemadji Golf Course when she used a 7-wood on No. 3E, which measures 107 yards.
James Larson witnessed his wife’s shot and must have taken a few notes because on Monday he got an ace of his own on No. 9N with an 8-iron. Alice Larson witnessed the shot on the 106-yard hole along with Chad Nelson of Eagan, Minn., and Ryan Nelson of Esko.
The Larsons never miss a chance to hit the links and golf together about four times a week.
“All I have to say is ‘golf’ and she’s already sitting in the car waiting for me.” James Larson said.
