A town of Superior man who had been reported missing Tuesday was found dead at the site of a motorcycle crash Thursday.
At 8:33 a.m. Thursday. personnel responded to a motorcycle crash on State Highway 35 just north of Shallermeir Road, according to a news release issued by Douglas County Sheriff Tom Dalbec. It was determined that the driver, Brian R. Androski, 38, had left the highway and was ejected from the motorcycle. He was pronounced dead at the scene.
Androski was alone at the time of the crash and was not wearing a helmet, Dalbec stated.
The incident is under investigation by the Douglas County Sheriff’s and Douglas County Medical Examiner’s offices.
Androski was reported missing Tuesday, according to a Douglas County Sheriff’s Office report. His wife told a deputy he went for a bike ride Monday evening and told her he would be back soon. She received a text from him at about 10:30 p.m. Monday and that was the last time she heard from him.
His brother, Dusty, last saw Androski at Les Bird’s bar Monday night, according to the report. He also told the deputy that it was not unusual for Androski to take off for a day or two.
Androski didn’t show up for work and was entered as a missing person Wednesday by the sheriff’s department.
