Summer is winding down and school days are just around the corner. The final week of our Summer Reading Program is devoted to teens, with two programs brought to you by the library and Superior Police Department:
Join us at 2 p.m. Tuesday in the Library Meeting Room for “Back to School Beauty.”
Stylist Yvonne Hanson will be here to give teens the latest tips on hair braiding and manicures.
Can you survive the outdoors? Find out what it takes in our “Survival Tips” program for teens at 2 p.m. Wednesday in the Library Meeting Room. Retired Air Force Flight Supervisor Mike Jacobson demonstrates fire starting, compass reading and knot tying. Don’t get caught out in the cold unprepared. Join us, and bring a friend.
It’s the Superior movie theater smack-down: The Beacon or The Palace? Tell us your favorite on the Superior Public Library’s Facebook page. It’s our Library’s 125th anniversary and we’ve been posting some unique and nostalgic photos of Superior from the Library’s collection. “Like” us on Facebook and share with us your memories of growing up in Superior.
Don’t forget the Downtown Farmer’s Market is in the Library’s north parking lot 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. each Wednesday through October. Stop by for lunch, fresh veggies, and many other items. Then stop in the library for something to read, view, or listen to over the long Labor Day weekend.
The library will be closed for Labor Day, Aug. 31-Sept. 2. We will resume regular hours on Sept. 3. Have a happy and safe Labor Day holiday.
