State Sen. Bob Jauch announced today that he will undergo complete hip replacement surgery Friday.
The northern lawmaker said he expects to be in the hospital for a day or two and looks forward to a full recovery in three to four weeks.
“I’m fortunate to have good health insurance and thanks to the quality health care that I have been able to receive, I can look forward to joining the growing ranks of citizens who have new hips and knees and can function in a more pain free manner,” Jauch said in a prepared statement.
Jauch expects to be able to return to Madison for the September floor period and will be staying in close contact with his staff and his colleagues as he recovers.
