Como Oil & Propane is working to bring clean fuel technology and education to the region.
Tuesday, Como sponsors the region’s first Alternative Fuel “Propane AutoGas” Symposium at Clyde Ironworks Event Center, 2920 W. Michigan St., Duluth.
The free symposium features national speakers on clean technology and is geared towards those interested in learning about the Autogas —cost savings, supply infrastructure, incentives, fleet conversions and how to achieve a positive return on investment. Lunch is provided followed by a propane vehicle showcase.
Participants also have the opportunity to visit the new Como AutoGas Refueling Station directly across the street from the symposium.
“There’s been a real shortage in education on the re-emergence of propane as a motor fuel,” said Jim Olson, Como’s director of safety, compliance and asset management. “With tremendous advancements in vehicle fueling technology, it makes propane a top choice for an inexpensive and clean alternative fuel, and we believe the story has just not been told.”
The symposium runs 8:30 a.m. to 1 p.m. Call 218-722-6666 to register.
