Tickets are still available for the Annual Superior-Douglas County Senior Picnic.
Tickets are $8 and available to people age 60 and older. Tickets must be purchased in advance at Senior Connections, 1805 N. 16th St., or any congregate meal sites.
The picnic is held rain or shine in the Multi-Purpose Building at the Head of the Lakes fairgrounds.
Doors will open at 11 a.m. You must purchase your tickets in advance.
Enjoy food, fellowship and music by Lorren Lindevig before the meal. There will also be drawings for prizes.
The Duluth Transit Authority also provides special bus runs for the event at no cost.
If you would like to take the DTA, be at any of the following locations by 10 a.m.: Regina Hill High Rise, 2415 E. Fifth St.; Phoenix Villa, 1001 Clough Ave.; Lund Hill Apartments, 914 Tower Ave.; Superior Senior Center, 1527 Tower Ave.; Royalton Manor, 1900 New York Ave.; and Superior Golden Apartments, 2315 Banks Ave.
The DTA will also be available for the return trip from the fairgrounds at about 1:45 p.m.
