Last weekend, we headed north for a long weekend. We decided to stay in Superior because the motel rates were less but what we found was a great experience. After traveling to several Minnesota State Parks during the day on Friday, we checked into our hotel and enjoyed a relaxing evening at the Galley Restaurant. The view of marina and the ribs were great. Saturday morning, we rode our bikes on the Osaugie Trail. Yes, the trail needs work and maintenance but you can see the great potential.
Saturday afternoon we decided to take the bus to Duluth. As we were walking/searching for the bus stop, a police car pulled up and Officer Gary Gothner asked us if we needed help. We told him that we were looking for the bus stop and he pointed us in the right direction then headed out on a call. After his call, he came back to check up on us. His help was greatly appreciated.
Finally, on Sunday, we decided to go to church before we headed out of town. We went to the 10:30 a.m. Mass at the Cathedral of Christ the King, and we are glad that we did. It was beautiful, welcoming and spirit-filled. Rev. Andrew Ricci is genuine, caring and full of the Holy Spirit. It was great to see a full church with a lot of young families — a rare site in the modern Roman Catholic Church. Keep up the great work.
