The Flag of Remembrance will fly for a week to honor Emily M. (Pfankuch) Linder, who served her country as a member of the United States Army.

Linder proudly served her country in the United States Army. She was an active member of the local veterans post in Superior.
She loved doing puzzles, weaving, ceramics, art and playing games with other people. She was also a foster parent for several years. She died May 15 at age 58 following complications from a heart attack.
Linder was blessed with a very large and loving family including her son, Jeff Linder of Superior; three sisters, Sally Simmerman of Marietta, Ga., Lisa Overshiner of Superior and Betty Kleutsch of Brule; five brothers, Ralph Pfankuch and Ronald Pfankuch of Chippewa Falls, Edward Pfankuch of Superior, Kenneth Pfankuch of South Range and Daniel Pfankuch of Rice Lake; and several nieces and nephews.
