The second installment for the 2012 property taxes is due in the County Treasurer’s Office by the end of the month.
The office, open 8 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Monday-Friday, is in Room 102 of the Douglas County Courthouse, 1313 Belknap St., Superior.
Payments are accepted at the counter, by mail, drop-box or online by credit card or e-check. A drive-up drop box is directly across from the Government Center, 1316 North 14th Street, in the median. Use the box marked Douglas County Property Taxes.
To make payments online, select “Pay taxes online” in the left column of the county website, www.douglascountywi.org. There is a fee for the service.
You can also check how much you owe online.
Anyone unable to pay their taxes in full, partial payments are always accepted ($20 minimum) and highly encouraged. However, interest accrue on the entire balance due, at 1 percent per month, dating back to Feb. 1 until paid in full.
