Adopters “Name Your Fee” for the Dog Daze of Summer at Animal AlliesAnimal Allies Humane Society of Duluth and Superior is promoting its Dog Daze of Summer “Name Your Fee” adoption promotion, which runs through Sunday.
Animal Allies Humane Society of Duluth and Superior is promoting its Dog Daze of Summer “Name Your Fee” adoption promotion, which runs through Sunday. During this promotion, adopters will name their own fee when they adopt a dog six months or older.
“We have so many wonderful dogs in our adoption program that need a loving home,” states Rick Sailstad, Executive Director at Animal Allies. “Summer is traditionally a very busy time for our shelters with lost, abandoned and surrendered cats and dogs arriving daily – and this summer has proven to be no exception.”
The objective of this adoption promotion is to reduce our shelter’s population of dogs age six months or older so Animal Allies can respond to the seasonal influx of dogs and cats. This is a great opportunity for community members to consider finding their new best friend among the dogs in our care. During our “Dog Daze of Summer” adoption promotion YOU get to decide the adoption fee!
“Summer is a great time to adopt a dog,” said Sarah Ojard, Adoption Program Manager at Animal Allies. “Typically, families take vacation from work and have more time to introduce a new dog to the family and their neighborhood and hiking adventures, long walks, and potty-breaks are much more fun when it is beautiful outside.”
All dogs available for adoption are micro-chipped, registered, examined by the shelter veterinarian, vaccinated, tested for heartworm and intestinal parasites, and spayed or neutered; services valued at approximately $375!
The Duluth and Superior shelters have a variety of dogs with great personalities and adoption counselors are on hand to guide you through the adoption process. Animal Allies' adoption staff will help you find an animal that will best fit your expectations and lifestyle, using the ASPCA's Meet Your Match Program.
