Two new officers were elected by the Richard I. Bong Veterans Historical Center board in May.
Tim Sauter of Sauter Insurance Services, is the new vice chairman, and Joe Fischer, assistant St Louis County attorney, is the new secretary.
Terry Lundberg, president of Lincoln Stores, continues as chairman and Knute Pedersen, president of Superior Glass Inc., continues as treasurer. Both men were also re-elected to 3-year terms on the board.
Other board members include John Bremer of Aerospace Consultant of Clermont, Fla.; Rod Campbell of Campbell Lumber; Mark Casper of Keyport Lounge and Liquor Store; Julie Demgen, retired from the University of Delaware, Ryan Kern of Kernz and Co.; John Manion of Manion’s Wholesale Building Supply; Toby Marcovich of Marcovich Cochrane Milliken Swanson & Kropid; and Earl Rogers of Duluth Travel Agency.
Sauter is employee benefits consultant at Sauter Insurance Services, a division of Johnson Insurance Consultants, and president of Mediqwest Insurance. An alumnus of the University of Wisconsin-Superior, he has been in the insurance business since 1972.
Fischer is a graduate of the University of Minnesota Duluth and earned his law degree at William Mitchell College of Law. He joined the St Louis County Attorney’s Office in 2004, after seven years in private practice. A veteran of the first Gulf War, he was an infantry officer in the U.S. Marine Corps.
