The Twins won two games to highlight recent Cal Ripken Sr. League action.
The Twins defeated the Cubs 14-8, then won a battle of undefeated teams with a 5-2 win over the Brewers.
In other action, the Brewers downed the Red Sox 15-7.
Twins 5, Brewers 2
Although outhit 5-2, the Twins took advantage of walks, errors and wild pitches to improve to 4-0 on the season.
Conner Fonger was the winning pitcher, and Willem McClellan picked up the save.
Fonger also doubled and turned an unassisted double play.
The Twins’ other hit was a single off the bat of Justin Hase.
Dominic D’Auria homered for the Brewers (4-1) and Isaac Rios, Drew DeBruyne, Jaxon D’Auria and Kyle Nickila singled.
Brewers 15, Red Sox 7
Joe Sanders was the winning pitcher and walked and scored a run to lead the Brewers over the Red Sox.
The winners also got singles from Rios, Cayden Laurvick, Brennan Morrisey, Dominic D’Auria, Ryan Hughes, DeBruyne, Jaxson D’Auria and Kyle Nickila. Rios also walked twice and scored three runs.
Twins 14, Cubs 8
McClellan was the winning pitcher, and Blake Arnovich led the Twins at the plate in their win over the Cubs.
