Led by a pair of top-10 individual performances, Minnesota State combined to shoot an 18-hole total of 292 in finishing in a second-place tie with St. Cloud State recently at the Winona State Warrior Open played at Trempeauleau Mountain Golf Club.
Minot State won the five-team tournament with a 289.
Former Superior Spartan Rob Kraft, a sophomore, carded a 70 in finishing in a tie for second as the top Maverick at the event.
Senior Ben Holker tied for ninth at 73, while sophomore Ross Miller shot 74 and junior Bennett Black and senior Greg Werner both came in at 75.
MSU awaits now to see if it will qualify for this year’s NCAA tournament with regional action slated for May 5-6 in Kenosha.
