LA CROSSE, Wis. (AP) — A University of La Crosse student has been arrested after carrying an unloaded shotgun on campus.
Chancellor Joe Gow says police followed the part-time student to his apartment after receiving a report Thursday morning that he was walking on campus with a gun. Gow says the campus never went into a lockdown because police found the student quickly.
The university says the student had earlier made threats to campus administrators.
Campus Police Chief Scott Rohde says there are no injuries, no shots fired and no further threat to the university.
