The city of Superior will host free landfill use days from 8 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. Saturday and April 27. The City of Superior Landfill is located on Moccasin Mike Road 1.5 miles east of Highway 53.
The following items will be accepted for free: Household trash, brush, five tires per residence, grass clippings, leaves and used motor oil.
Regular fees will be charged for mattresses and boxsprings — $5 each if completely dry and fairly clean, $10 each if damp, wet or heavily soiled.
Some items are not accepted at the landfill. Those include recyclables, demolition or construction materials, electronics, appliances, batteries, fluorescent bulbs and household hazardous waste.

All loads must be covered during transport to avoid littering and a fine.
All loose items must be tied or bagged.
The free landfill use is for city of Superior residents only. Proof of residency required.
Individual households only. No contractors, landlords, or business owners.
Regular landfill fees will be charged during regular landfill hours, 8 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7-11 a.m. Saturday.
Remember the REUSE Center, where there is no charge to drop off or pick up items. Items dropped off must be in decent repair and of use to someone else. All items dropped off must be checked by landfill staff. Items not accepted in the landfill are not accepted in the REUSE Center. No loitering, staff can deny entry to anyone at any time.
