The Duluth Police Department is asking that residents stay home and only travel if necessary. Due to the current winter storm travel in Duluth has become difficult and dangerous. Blowing and drifting snow have made driving conditions deteriorate rapidly. The slippery conditions and poor visibility have contributed to over 20 crashes within the past two hours.
DTA buses will be parked and service suspended for one hour at 2:15 p.m. Depending on the weather conditions at 3:15 p.m., the DTA will either resume service or cancel service for the day at that time.
All after-school student and staff activity at Superior High School has been cancelled today due to the weather. In addition, the Cooper Elementary School performance of “Our Story in History,” scheduled for tonight, has been postponed and will take place Monday at 6:30 p.m. in the high school Performing Arts Center.

The Pedagogy of the Poor Lecture scheduled for 7 p.m. tonight at The College of St. Scholastica has been cancelled. The presenters will instead be speaking from noon to 1 p.m. on Friday at First United Methodist Church (Coppertop). This event is open to the public.
Due to the inclement weather Miller Hill Mall will be closing at 3 p.m. today. The mall will reopen Friday at 10 a.m.
