Superior has three new city councilors: Tom Fennessey, Jack Sweeney and Terry Massoglia.
Fennessey, who served on the council from 1995 to 2002 representing the 8th District, will now represent resident in the 2nd District. He took 64 percent of the vote, defeating Marty Curtiss for the seat to be vacated by Tom Bridge.
Sweeney represented a portion of the 4th Council District as a member of the Douglas County Board from 2005 to 2012, now represents the entire district on the Superior City Council. Sweeney took 60 percent of the vote over Mark Johnson to fill the seat to be vacated by Jackie Stenberg.
Massoglia will take over as the 6th District, where only 77 voters cast a ballot. He took the seat with only five votes over Kimberly Collins.
