To the Telegram:
My name is Matthew Curtiss. My father Marty Curtiss is a Superior City Council candidate in the 2nd District.
After reading an article published Feb. 28 titled “Attack politics nets few apologies” the Telegram discussed many of the recent issues with campaign fliers and property taxes, all of which are public record.
Well my father has been dealing with a long-term illness that prohibits him from working as much as he would prefer, in a business he spent 30 years building. Using word of mouth and going above and beyond the minimum, to establish himself, and his company as a reputable business in the community. My father also taught me about giving back the community with our years involved with Paint the Town, volunteering to paint homes of the less fortunate and elderly, at no cost. Most of all, I came to understand standing up for what is right; no matter how unpopular it may make you. If you look at his involvement with local issues and the Superior City Council, you will see one thing, consistency with the issues and desire to improve Superior.
I just ask anyone in the 2nd District, who is concerned with recent news, to call Marty Curtiss and voice your concerns. I know he will listen. Then on April 2, you can make an informed choice when you vote.
