Lakehead Constructors earns steel erector certification

Lakehead Constructors Inc. announced March 4 that it was recognized as an advanced certified steel erector by the American Institute of Steel Construction.

The steel construction award is recognizes the Superior-based business’ experience and successful history on steel erection projects.

Steel erection contractors with this designation have to show experience and success in erecting structures such as large public and institutional buildings, heavy manufacturing plants, bunkers, bins, powerhouses, major industrial facilities, high-rise structures, arenas, and repair and rehabilitation of existing steel structures.

The organization must understand procedures involved and have ready access to requisite talent, resources and experience necessary to erect complex steel structures.
