Police investigate burglary at mall theaters

An empty drop safe was stolen from Superior Value Cinemas in the Mariner Mall on March 4.

An empty drop safe was stolen from Superior Value Cinemas in the Mariner Mall on March 4.

Two unknown suspects were observed on video surveillance entering the movie theater between 3:30 and 3:35 p.m. Monday, according to a Superior Police Department report. No signs of forced entry were found. The two suspects appeared to be wearing hooded sweatshirts with their hoods pulled up.

The only thing found missing from the theater was the empty drop safe, according to the report.
