Johnson, Kruger named Student Rotarians

Dylan Johnson and Kylie Kruger, seniors at Superior High School, were selected as Student Rotarians for February by the Superior Rotary Club.

Dylan Johnson and Kylie Kruger, seniors at Superior High School, were selected as Student Rotarians for February by the Superior Rotary Club. Kruger is a member of the National Honor Society, the Mock Trial team, and a Reading Mentor. She serves as the president of the Key Club and participates in the Superior-Douglas County Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Program. She was also a youth delegate for Superior Days this year. Kruger plans to attend college to pursue a degree in a helping profession. She is the daughter of Nicole and Brett Kruger.

Johnson is a member of Future Business Leaders of America and serves as a liaison officer. He is also a member of the DECA Leadership Council, the Quiz Bowl and participates in the Superior-Douglas County Chamber of Commerce Youth Leadership Program. In addition, Johnson is the captain of the SHS forensics team and treasurer of the Key Club. Outside of school, he is active in the Teenage Republicans Club. Johnson plans to attend Arizona State University to earn a degree in history and secondary education. He is the son of Dawn and Terry Johnson.

During the school year, Student Rotarians attend Rotary meetings and provide club members with opportunities to learn about high school programs and activities as well as the accomplishments and concerns of Superior youth. Each year the Superior Rotary Club awards two scholarships to students graduating from Superior High School. Information is available from school counselors.
