“We are so grateful for the passion, commitment and hard work of the Relay for Life volunteers and participants in our community. This is a monumental accomplishment,” said Joni Tauzell, senior community relations for the American Cancer Society. “Everyone who takes part in Relay for Life brings us one step closer to our goal of saving lives and is a part of the world’s largest movement to end cancer,” Tauzell said.

Participants and community members are asked to contact Relay for Life co-chairs Dan Klarner at 218-391-0098 or Jen Anderson at 651-214-0947 with any past articles or memorabilia.

The theme of the 2013 Relay is “Memories.”

When asked to describe Relay for Life, many say it is a life-changing event. The family activities throughout the event, the time spent with friends walking around the track, and the inspirational stories shared by members of our community all build a camaraderie that stays long after the event is over.

Relay for Life is the only event of its kind that fights every cancer on every front around the world. It is the signature event of the American Cancer Society with one out of every 100 Americans participating.
