Miller, Olson named all-confernece

Two members of the Superior High School boys hockey team were named to the Lake Superior Conference All-Conference team for the 2012-13 season.

Junior center Aaron Miller was a second-team selection and senior defenseman Trent Olson was honorable mention.

Olson is also a finalist for the Davis Drewiske Award for the state’s top defenseman. Other finalists include: Daniel Tripicchio, Hudson; Jake Bunz, Middleton; Luke Davison, Notre Dame; and Thomas Aiken, WNS Storm.

The winner will be announced Friday afternoon.

The Spartans open state tournament play at 8 p.m. today against Fond du Lac.
