Superior police are investigating another convenience store/gas station robbery, this time in East End.
At about 9:04 p.m. Thursday, the Superior Police Department responded to a report of an armed robbery at the Citgo Station at 2821 E. Second St.
The Douglas County Communication Center advised the suspect may have had a weapon of some sort but it was not a firearm.
According to the clerk, a younger white male, about 5-foot-4, wearing dark-colored clothing, walked into the store and eventually up to the counter.
As the clerk opened the register, the suspect reached across the counter and grabbed an undisclosed amount of money.
The Superior Police Department is investigating this incident and is seeking the public’s assistance. If anyone was in or around the store at the time of the robbery, they are asked to contact the Superior Police Department tip line at (715) 395-7468, or 911. The department also can be reached on Facebook or the anonymous texting tip line. The text keyword is “spdtip” to 847411 on your cell phone.
It is unclear at this stage of the investigation if this robbery is related to the robbery at the ICO earlier this week, Detective Sgt. Rick Hughes said in a prepared statement.
