Superior meth case heads to arraignment

A Superior man accused of selling meth has been bound over for arraignment in Douglas County Circuit Court

Anthony Ralph Moran, 41, faces three felony counts of delivery of meth and two counts of felony bail jumping. He was bound over for arraignment after waiving his preliminary hearing Feb. 6.

According to the criminal complaint, Moran sold a total of 3.3 grams of meth — approximately $440 worth — in three separate drug buys in Superior that were monitored by law enforcement officers from both the Superior Police Department and Douglas County Sheriff’s Department. As a condition of Moran’s signature bond in a separate meth-related case still pending, he was ordered not to possess or use any controlled substance or drug paraphernalia.

If convicted, Moran faces up to five years of imprisonment for each meth charge and up to six years imprisonment and a fine of up to $10,000 for each bail jumping charge. Cash bail was set for $500 and Moran was ordered not to use or possess any controlled substance or drug paraphernalia. His next court appearance is set for March 11.
