To the Telegram:
On Jan. 9, I stopped in at the post office in Superior about 10:25 a.m. for stamps. There were ten people in line with two clerks working. As I took my place in the line the male clerk closed up and left, leaving only the one working and already there were four to five people behind me.
I am a senior citizen of 75 years and walk with a cane. I say this not because I want or expect special treatment. Around 10:45 a.m., a lady came to the second window and rather than open to help the people but to remove packages to the back. By this time, the line was out the door. She opened the window at 11 a.m. By then I was still fourth in line.
Now I do understand about break time but I also think taking care of so many people in line should be the priority. Me and the others waiting in line 45 minutes. That is unacceptable. Believe me I was exhausted and achy from standing.
Thank you for listening. I’m just glad Super One sells stamps as well as Goin Postal.
