SHS girls get No. 1 seed for upcoming basketball tournament
Tigers and Evergreens get home games, Eagles play on the road
The Superior High School girls basketball team was awarded the No. 1 seed for the upcoming WIAA playoffs.
The Spartans (19-2) have a first-round bye on Feb. 26 and will host the winner of the Hudson-Wausau East game at 7 p.m. on Friday, March. 1.
If Superior wins, it will play again at home on Saturday, March. 2.
In Division 2, the Northwestern Tigers are the No. 8 seed and will host No. 9 Osceola at 7 p.m. on Feb. 26. The winner will play at No. 1 Ladysmith on March 1.
In Division 5, the Northwood Evergreens are the No. 2 seed and will host the winner of the Winter-Bayfield game on March 1.
Solon Springs is the No. 12 seed and will play at No. 5 Siren on Feb. 26. The winner will play the winner of Birchwood-and Luck on March 1.
