The Superior High School girls basketball team improved to 19-2 with a 74-51 win at Rice Lake Thursday night.

Jessica Lindstrom led the Spartans with 28 points. Hailey Kontny added 24 points, Alyssa Correll had 14, and Abby Clemons and Alison Wainionpaa chipped in with four points apiece.

Lindstrom and Correll made two 3-pointers each and Kontny made one.

“I was really proud of our offensive efficiency,” SHS coach Phil Roe said. “Our team really destroyed their zone and scored the most points of any team against Rice Lake this season.

“My girls were very aggressive on both ends of the court and that is how you beat a good team in their house. We continue to get better each week.”

The Spartans wrap up their regular season at 7:15 p.m. Monday at Hayward.
