Students can still get free evening meals from 3:05 to 6 p.m. Monday-Friday at Superior High School and 4:45-6 p.m. at Superior Middle School. Parents and guardians who choose to can purchase a meal for themselves for $3.15.
SHS began offering free supper to students in October. When school resumed after winter break in January, meals also were provided at the middle school and Northern Lights Elementary.
Word went out to students in their backpacks this week that the elementary school has stopped serving supper.
The free meals are available to anyone younger than 18. The initiative is funded through the Child and Adult Care Food Program.
