On Feb. 19, all of us who value our right to vote as American citizens will head to the polls to cast our ballot for what we hope to be the best candidate for each political or public office. We do not always get the chance to meet personally these individuals in order to understand who they are and what motivates them to seek these elected positions.
Fortunately, for me, I have been given the great opportunity to meet and get to know James Farkas who is running for a position on the Superior School Board in this year’s primary. Over the past five years, I have learned just how much James care for Superior and for the way in which we approach the education of our cities children. I am extremely impressed with his knowledge of our school system and his sincere and dedicated involvement by working directly with students in an effort to help motivate their learning skills and help shape their future education experience. This kind of unconditional commitment to a community and its children is rare and speaks volumes to the character and intentions to any one person running for such an important position.
Therefore, for these reasons and many others too numerous to mention here, I am giving my total support and vote to Superior school board candidate James Farkas in this year’s primary. I hope you will as well, in order for him to deservingly advance to the general election April 2.
Mick MacKenzie,
Superior
