WIAC Volleyball Breast Cancer Awareness campaign a success; five-year total exceeds $100,000
MADISON — In its fifth year operating the event, Wisconsin Intercollegiate Athletic Conference women’s volleyball teams raised $24,895 for Breast Cancer Awareness during the 2012 season. The total brings the conference’s five-year sum to an astonishing $113,037.
The nine conference teams raised money using various promotional activities to raise awareness and funds for breast cancer research. Spectators at the designated matches were encouraged to wear pink in support of all those affected by breast cancer.
