Lorraine A. "DeDe" Vicklund

Lorraine A. "DeDe" Vicklund, 93, of Superior, died Tuesday, Feb. 5, 2013, at Essentia-St. Mary's Hospice in Duluth.

Lorraine was born on Oct. 16, 1919, the daughter of Steve and Helen Androsky.

She enjoyed embroidery, quilting and working in the yard. She loved having people around and was known as "Granny" to anyone in need. She also loved animals, especially her many dogs.

DeDe was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn "Bob" on Nov. 22, 1990; son, Leroy; son-in-law, Jeff Nolan; and six brothers and sisters.

She is survived by her children, Doris Nolan of Superior, Donald Androsky of Minneapolis and Robert (Kathy) Vicklund of Cedar, Minn.; grandchildren, William, John, Sherral, Laurie, and Michael; great-grandchildren, JD, Jeremy , John David, Shayna, Dallie, Marcus, Mollee and Alex; a nephew, Chuck Androsky; and a niece, Renee Johnson.

Her funeral service will be held on Friday Feb. 8, at Noon at Downs Funeral Home, 1617 N. 19th St. Superior. Major Rosemary Matson of the Salvation Army will officiate. Visitation will begin one hour prior. Interment will be in Greenwood Cemetery, Superior.
