Joyce Y. Grady

Joyce Y. Grady, 79, Brule, Wis., died Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013, at her residence.

She was born in Oshkosh, Wis. to Herbert and Elvira (Garbe) Gutknecht.

She was born and raised in Oshkosh but has also lived in Hawaii, California, Illinois and Minnesota before moving back to Wisconsin 20 years ago.

She was employed as an accountant for various businesses in Rush City and the Twin Cities.

Joyce enjoyed wintering in Hawaii. She was loved by many and touched many lives.

She is survived by two daughters, Yvette (Mark) Winiecki, Hugo, Minn., Wendy Lane, Brule, Wis.; four sons, Russell (Sharon Esberg) Lane, Cottage Grove, Minn., William "Earl" (Loraly) Lane, Andover, Minn., Edward (Lee Ann) Lane, Burnsville, Minn., Paul Lane, Moose Lake, Minn.; 13 grandchildren; 11 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; one sister, Judy (Greg) Foster, Edmund, Okla.; two sisters-in-law, Mary Gutknecht, Cedar, Minn., Annabel Sparks, Shilo, Ill. and many nieces and nephews.

Joyce is preceded in death by her first husband, John J. Grady; her second husband, Russell Lane; a daughter, Yvonne Ziesmer; a brother, Herbert Gutknecht and a sister, Diane Young.

Visitation will begin at Noon and will continue until the 1 p.m. memorial service on Saturday, Feb. 23, at the Grace Baptist Church in Iron River.
