The Douglas County Sheriff’s Office is investigating the report of an armed robbery at JT’s One Stop in Solon Springs,
The robbery occurred at 8:34 p.m. Saturday.
All three suspects — a 17-year-old female, 18-year-old female and 16-year-old male — are in custody, according to Sgt. Richard Schnell with the sheriff’s department. All three are Sawyer County residents, he said.
Two of the suspects entered the store as if to purchase a bottle of water, according to a release from Chief Deputy Jerry Moe with the sheriff’s department. As the clerk was ringing up the sale, one suspect brandished a semi-automatic pistol and demanded money. They fled the store with an undisclosed amount of cash from the register.
Just prior to this robbery, suspects matching their description did a “dine and dash” theft at the Covered Wagon restaurant in Hawthorne.
Anybody with information on these crimes is asked to call the Douglas County Sheriff’s Office Detective Bureau at 715-395-1692.
The Bayfield County Sheriff’s Department is also investigating an attempted armed robbery at the Triple G Gas Station in Cable. Two people entered the business and one displayed a handgun, demanding the clerk give him money. When the clerk said she did not have access to the money, the suspects left the business.
The suspects in that case are described as being around 20 years old. One is described as white and the other’s race is unknown.
