Raymond George Nelson

Raymond George Nelson, 77, of Sumner, Wash. formerly of Superior, died on Wednesday, Jan. 30, 2013 in a Tacoma hospital surrounded by his family.

Ray was born in Superior on Nov. 12, 1935 to Nels Ludwig Nelson and Elizabeth (Lindenberg) Nelson. He graduated from Superior Central High School and worked at Devinck's before moving to Washington.

He is survived by his wife, Patricia, three sons, Randy, Lindsay (Sandra) and John (DeLynn), Puyallup, Wash. Two grandchildren, one brother, Rev. James (Delores) Nelson, Miamisburg, Ohio, one sister, Virginia Leith, Superior, and many nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one brother, John A. Nelson, two sisters, Betty Mikelson and Margaret Susens.
